Blinking Light
Disposable Vapes (Elf Bar, Lost Mary, etc.)
My disposable vape is blinking +
If the LED light blinks when you try to inhale, it usually means:
- Battery Dead: The battery has run out of charge. Since most disposables are non-rechargeable, it is time to replace the device.
- Out of Liquid: If the flavor has also faded or tastes burnt, the device is empty.
- Safety Cut-off: If you inhale for too long (over 8-10 seconds), the light may flash to prevent overheating.
New disposable vape not working (DOA) +
It is rare, but sometimes a device arrives "Dead on Arrival". Please check:
- Have you removed the sticker from the bottom airflow hole?
- Have you removed the rubber bung from the mouthpiece?
If both are removed and it still doesn't fire, please contact us within 48 hours for a replacement.
It tastes burnt straight away +
This is often caused by "Chain Vaping" (taking many puffs in quick succession). The wicking material inside needs time to re-soak with e-liquid between puffs.
Solution: Wait 15-30 seconds between puffs to let the coil cool down and re-saturate. If it still tastes burnt, the coil is permanently damaged.
Refillable Kits & Coils
Why is my vape leaking? +
Leaking is the most common issue with refillable pods. Common causes include:
- Coil Flooding: Sucking too hard on the mouthpiece can pull excess liquid into the chimney. Try inhaling gently.
- Cracked Glass/Pod: Check for hairline cracks.
- Wrong E-Liquid: Using thin liquid (High PG) in a powerful sub-ohm coil can cause leaks. Switch to 70% VG liquid for sub-ohm devices.
"Check Atomizer" or "No Coil Detected" +
This means your device cannot read the coil. Try these steps:
- Remove the pod/tank and clean the contact points (gold pins) with a tissue.
- Pull the coil out and push it back in firmly to ensure a good connection.
- Try a brand new coil. If it still fails, the mod device itself may be faulty.
How to stop coils burning out quickly? +
1. Prime your coil: Always let a new coil sit in a full tank for 5-10 minutes before vaping.
2. Check sweetness: Very sweet "Dessert" or "Candy" e-liquids contain sweeteners that caramelize on the coil (gunk), killing it faster.
3. Keep tank filled: Never let the liquid level drop below the cotton wicking holes.
