What is TPD Compliance?
Ten Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) is a set of regulations governing the sale of vaping products across Europe and the UK. It was introduced to ensure a high standard of safety and quality for all e-cigarettes and e-liquids.

Max 2ml Capacity
Any vape tank, pod, or disposable vape sold in Europe must not hold more than 2ml of e-liquid. This is why legal disposables typically max out at around 600 puffs.
Max 10ml Bottle
E-liquids containing nicotine cannot be sold in bottles larger than 10ml. This rule is designed to reduce the risk of accidental poisoning.
Max 20mg Strength
The maximum legal nicotine strength is 20mg/ml (2%). Products claiming to be 50mg (5%) are illegal in the EU and potentially unsafe.
Safety Labeling
All packaging must be child-resistant and display specific health warnings ("This product contains nicotine...").

TPD rules only restrict bottles containing nicotine. This created a clever workaround called Shortfills.
Shortfills are large bottles (e.g., 100ml) filled with 0mg e-liquid, with space left at the top. You simply buy separate 10ml "Nicotine Shots" and mix them in yourself. This is perfectly legal and much cheaper!
